Seasons Greetings

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
I am back...with tons of photos for you all. We've been having a great Christmas season with the kids. Texas is beautiful this time of year, I love it.
Jason, Marky and Dan all came to stay with us for Christmas and it's been great having them here. Julie is so very happy to have her daddy back, I can't wait till they can come to stay.
I wanted to thank everyone that sent Christmas cards and gifts, I was very touched! I miss you all so much.
Now that we have internet I will be posting a lot more so you'll know what were up to in this side of the world.
Love you lots....

Memphis Men

Here are two pictures of us at our construction site here in Memphis. The picture of Mark and Dan was taken by myself from my vantage point atop my stilts, an excellent shot if I do say so myself .
In case your wondering about Dans hat, I assure you, there is a reasonable explanation for his new Oliver Twist look.
Mark is concerned about the way he looks in these photos, he wasn't to pleased about me putting them on my blog. I think he looks alright, and I suspect that he arrived at that opinion as a result of Dan's comment about him looking like a mongoloid in that first picture.
I wish I had more pictures for Clara's readership. I'll try to get more for the next post.

Children of Metal

Since the dawn of time, mankind has been searching for a hero, banging rocks together and howling like dogs our ancestors began the search for the greatest style of music.
For centuries the search has continued with new genres, instruments, and advances in science. We have come ever closer to that finding of our champion. We have crossed this vast desert in search of a this promised land. Now we have found the promised land, but somewhere along the way we forgot the meaning of our quest.
Over the centuries we have forgotten the object of our search. Impostors have fogged our minds and taken the place of our true hero. In this state of confusion we have become vulnerable.
Today the confusion must end. We can all no longer stand upon this sinking middle ground. The war has begun.
Above the roar of competing sounds, above this din of subjective value and preference; from among the impostors one warrior will step forth. One magnificent genre will rise and crush the skulls of all other genres with his bare hands thus ending the oppression.
In these desperate times we must stand by the only musical genre with the strength, skill, wisdom, and leadership to bring us back to the core of ourselves. Forsaking all others, we must steel our stance in music. We must stand upon this ironclad foundation. We must forsake the foolish impostors and embrace true music. We must embrace metal (and its subgenres). We are children of metal.
